Ganesh - The Sacred Asian Elephant! Ganesh is the iconic deity of legendary power - able to overcome obstacles and open new pathways. SavingGanesh.org's intention is to do the same - to overcome by taking action.
This is part of our outreach campaign: Moving mindfulness into Action! There is enormous opportunity to tap into the unexploited community consciousness of yogis throughout the West, and create a sustained movement: "BeHumane."
People are looking for purposefulness - this is SavingGanesh.org’s offering. This includes special events, yoga elephant ambassador programs, and festivals. We are on a mission to create a grass-roots movement to do what our politicians and business leaders are failing to do.
We will rescue the endangered Asian elephant from the abuses of captivity and from extinction in the wild.
Our public outreach events include a multitude of yoga and healing events across the West, and includes our own festival - Cascadia Healing and Arts Gathering which was held in Veneta, Oregon and is renamed the “Ganesh Festival” going forward.
This event's intentions are to both raise awareness of the plight of Asian elephants, as well as help fund the work of SavingGanesh.org.
We constantly offer a lineup of yoga teachers, musicians and healers share in this mission, via our “Elephant Ambassador” program. Like Ganesh, we are providing a pathway by removing the obstacles that inhibit progress. We are providing a platform for these artists to express the depth of their own love and compassion for the sentient Beings of Mother Earth.
This can't be done without the support of our followers, our benefactors and all the folks that have visited with us at many venues over several years - ShaktiFest, Bhakti Fest, Hanuman Festival, Sedona Yoga Festival, Telluride Yoga and Burning Man.
Join Us! Share information about us with your friends. You will witness the challenges faced by rangers and veterinarians living on the front lines of the human/elephant conflict, as well as celebrating the life of elephants, as told through music, and the wisdom of healers and storytellers.
We are so grateful for our Yoga Elephant Ambassadors, including Bill O’Connell & Light Time Journey’s, Amber Brovelli of Sedona, and Jeannette Dinkelbach Johnson, who most recently created a Kids Corner at Bhakti Fest with Elephant Painting — sharing deep elephant wisdom through the storylines of Ganesha. We are grateful for all the compassionate hearts that are serving elephant welfare and conservation!
